Start with seller identity and checkout terms, not a logo or dramatic discount.

A brand name is not seller verification
Independent affiliates, marketplaces and copycat stores may use very similar product photography. A name on a bottle is an identity clue, not proof that the listing is authorized. Review the domain, the contact route, the legal terms and the checkout destination. If you cannot identify who will charge your card or who can provide a refund, you do not yet have enough information to buy confidently.
Check what you will physically receive
Look for clear front and back label images, quantity, seal, expiration dating and product specifications. A listing that shows only a front-label glamour photo may omit details that affect safety: botanical amounts, allergens, serving size and warnings. Compare those details with the delivered item and record discrepancies promptly. A current manufacturer or seller label is stronger evidence than screenshots passed around by third parties.
Follow the payment chain
A legitimate affiliate link can redirect to a seller or merchant-of-record checkout; that alone is not suspicious. The issue is whether the payment processor, total price, tax, shipping, recurring billing and customer support are visible and credible. Prefer a secure HTTPS payment page, keep a receipt, and avoid gift-card, personal-transfer or off-platform payment requests.
Separate authenticity from efficacy
A genuine bottle can still lack evidence that it improves a health condition. Verify the product first, then examine whether claims rely on a human clinical trial of the finished formula rather than a few interesting botanical studies. Keep realistic expectations: commercial legitimacy and clinical effectiveness are different questions.
Applying the checklist to ProstaPeak
The ProstaPeak seller has a visible product page with bundle offers and support links. This independent website uses a marked ClickBank affiliate referral. The full quantitative Supplement Facts panel was not available in the public page reviewed, so the original bottle label remains an important additional check.
